R&D Engineer

Scope/Supervision and Interaction

Develops new products to meet quality standards in the most cost effective manner. May investigate and resolve work-in-process product or material problems. Recommends and implements improvements and/or modifications in products and/or materials. May supervise activities of small number of professionals. Also may lead longer-term, cross-functional project teams.

Essential Functions

• Determines objectives and strategies.

• Tactical influence over direction of function or operating unit.

• Plans, conducts and supervises assignments of significant scope and complexity.

• Decision making involves complex problems that require extensive research, analysis and evaluation of multiple variables.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree supplemented by many years of professional experience in the function.

• Recognized as technical expert in field of specialization.

• Demonstrates knowledge of key influences impacting the business and implications.

• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally.
