Applications Engineer

Scope/Supervision and Interaction

Provide engineering service to customers and clients in the proper application and selection of one or more products. Investigate applications and provide solutions with existing products. Guide development in creating new best solution products when existing products cannot handle the applications requirements. May provide guidance and work direction to specialist/technical associates.

Essential Functions

• Operates under limited supervision; work is reviewed for quality and compliance with standards.

• May impact productivity and customer service within work group.

• Applies broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures to field.

• Assignments are moderately complex, requiring originality and ingenuity.

• Decision-making involves gathering, organizing and analyzing information and determining approach from a wide range of alternatives.

Qualifications

• Professional with relevant professional experience in addition to formal training.

• Frequently updates knowledge to maintain high level of expertise.

• Demonstrates knowledge of key influences impacting the business and implications.

• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally.
