The NFPA Education and Technology Foundation awards grants of up to $500 to middle and high schools to facilitate the teaching of hydraulics and pneumatics in their classrooms. These grants can be used to defray the costs of participating in the Fluid Power Action Challenge—a design/build competition program that challenges students to solve an engineering problem using fluid power. Eligible expenses include either those associated with bringing Action Challenge kits into the classroom or those associated with participating in an Action Challenge event.
