NFPA Guidelines for Social Media Participation
NFPA reserves the right to delete any posting judged to be irrelevant, inappropriate, illegal, or offensive. Anyone who posts content on an NFPA-labeled social media channel or joins an NFPA-labeled group agrees to:
- COMPLY WITH ANTITRUST LAWS AT ALL TIMES.
Group members must not discuss any competitively sensitive materials in any NFPA-labeled social media channel. Please visit NFPA's web site and familiarize yourself with our antitrust guidelines before submitting any topics for discussion.
- STAY ON TOPIC.
Keep all discussions to professionally relevant topics, and do not post anything that is solely for commercial purposes.
- BE COURTEOUS AND RESPECTFUL.
Do not post inflammatory, derogatory, or otherwise inappropriate comments about other members of the group. Remain nonpartisan. And respect one another’s privacy and intellectual property.
If you find any discussion irrelevant, inappropriate, illegal, or offensive, feel free to contact the NFPA staff administrator of the social media channel or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org so that the moderators can take action.
